SHEARWATER is Joe, Harry, Jonah.
We are 3 very close friends with a deep love for all things audio/visual. Our musical friendship was forged on the fishing boat shores of Saltash at Livewire Youth Music Club back when we were squeaky voiced teens.
Since then we’ve delved down quite possibly every music rabbit hole you could imagine. Producing everything from electronic, to folk to metal, garnering well over 2 decades worth of experience between us. We’ve cut our teeth professionally in touring engineering, ghost production, beat-making, mixing, portraiture, visual promotion and advertising.
We conceived Shearwater in a pre-lockdown hangout with a big group of friends. As ideas developed, the project snowballed from a small band practice space to a fully fledged recording studio.
After spending nearly 2 years building and curating the space over lockdown, the ambition of the project really began to set in. We invested in the best gear possible and spent considerable time before the launch understanding the space and how to get the best a/v product out of it.
Launching on 1st of October 2022, we’ve since been striving to bring the most honest, professional and creatively satisfying service to Plymouth, whilst being at an affordable rate.
